Life with Hannah

It was only a month ago that baby Hannah came into this world. She did so under much difficulty. The labor process was 18 hours long and about an hour of pushing followed that. But it was all worth it. We were so excited to spend time with her and also so excited to sleep. I never thought that I would ever be so excited to just drink water. The day after Hannah was born she turned purple on us. We rushed her down to the nursery and her temperature had suddenly dropped almost 3 degrees. This prompted doctors to run some blood tests as they suspected that she had an infection. Turns out she did. Her CRP level in her blood was over 160. Normal level is .1. She had to be taken to the NICU immediately and spent the next 7 days on antibiotics. It was the hardest week of our lives but we made it through and Hannah ended up to be just fine. She is now getting so big and is really doing well. Thank you to everyone who has helped us by spending time with us or bringing us a meal.
